FEEL THE
VIBE

April 19th. With their happy and relaxed games, the Guarani Indians of Aldeia Rio Silveirinhas, on the coast of São Paulo, receive some “white men” on their land.

They promote an interesting experience for those who have little contact with indigenous culture: they paint the faces and bodies of visitors with the same pattern they use to decorate themselves. They have fun teaching wheel games that involve adults and children. They adapt the games to the level of difficulty that each one is capable of reaching. Without saying anything, they teach a lesson of inclusion.

Archery, tug of war, obstacle races. They win every contest against whites, but they show enormous humility about it.

They teach words in Guarani to the curious little by little. Everyone in the tribe speaks Portuguese perfectly.

The atmosphere is relaxed and happy. The freedom to play outside on a sunny day.

It was a Wednesday.
