Cunhantã-iborari was swimming in Lago Verde, when she was seduced and impregnated by the Amazonian dolphin.
To get revenge, his father, the Tuxaua, orders the cetacean to be killed.
But porpoises are very special creatures - they protect canoes during storms, save people who are drowning (by pushing them ashore), drive schools to riverbanks so they are close to backwaters and banks – and for having ordered his death, then the fury of the spirits of the region falls on the Tuxaua.
Repentant, he asks the Shaman to come and resurrect the dolphin.
A show of colors, lights, music, dance. All the splendor of the Amazon rainforest recreated in the arena where the well-known Boto´s legend is staged every year by “Tucuxi” and “Cor-de-Rosa”.

Boto is a very handsome, attractive and seductive man. Outstanding dancer and drinker.
He is always dressed in white and wears an elegant hat on his head, from which he is never parted.
It is said that the hat actually hides the boto's (the animal) breathing hole when he is performing in the form of a man.
The Boto Homem, irresistibly seductive, impregnates young and beautiful women.
When the day dawns, he becomes Boto Bicho again and the baby that will be born in a few months will never meet his father.
